Xin Yang Mao Jian (Downy peak of Xin Yang) is one of the ten most known teas of China and comes from moutainous area Xin Yang in province of Henan. The tea plants lie here in high altitude, almost perfect isolated from the civilisation, what gives them excelent condtions for their vegetation and for acumulation of great amount of active substances. The tea is very senzitive about water temperature, by the first brew you shouldn't cross 70 - 75 degrees of Celsius, then you'll be rewarded by refreshing, sweetly flourish and slightly spicy taste with light tone of citrus. The scent of this tea is rather atypical for a green tea - it's expresively spicy with fruity elements in the background. The leaves are subtle, slightly curled, their shape reminds of tree-needles. Xin Yang Mao Jian tea is known since the times of dynasty Tchang, its manufacturing demands great skills and knowledge of the original proceedings.
