Tight, middle-sized tips give full, grassy astringent aroma with strong chocolate undertones. The brew is clear, lightly yellowish and offers slightly starchy asperate, grassy sour flavour with cocoa tones.

Jade Buds, Cui Ya, is an admirable sort of tea, formed of solid unraveled buds of jade coloured tealeaves. The brew is expressive, of a bit starchy and asperate taste, that reminds of the famous "Bamboo Sprouts" (Zhu Ye Qing).
